Ronan Agnew is a geophysicist and glaciologist at the British Antarctic Survey. He is interested in using active seismic techniques to investigate conditions beneath and within glaciers in Antarctica. As part of the GHOST team, he is involved in the acquisition and analysis of seismic data during the 2023-2024 field season, and aims to determine the materials that make up the bed beneath Thwaites Glacier - this will help inform the sliding laws used in ice sheet models. Prior to his work at BAS, he undertook fieldwork for the TIME project in the 2021-22 season.
